We like to serve each customer based on their unique needs and sometimes choosing to upgrade is not the most effective solution to a problem a client is facing. Sometimes a little strategic planning, database customization, or even training can ease business pains that may not be as succinctly treated with an upgrade.
So when should you upgrade? We encourage our clients to consider an upgrade when one of their business needs dovetails with one of the cutting-edge new features in the latest ACT! version. For instance, we are excited to announce that ACT! 2012 will be able to integrate with Gmail—something several of our clients have requested to truly optimize their contact management system. Now would be the time for these clients to upgrade.
When else should you upgrade? Are you getting a new computer? We always recommend you call us prior to purchasing a new PC in order to assure your computer specs are compatible with your version of ACT!. However, if you are ready to upgrade your computer system office-wide, it may be time for you to upgrade your ACT! as well. Much older versions of ACT! are incompatible with the newest version of Windows OS and Office. Upgrading ACT! when you upgrade computers means you get to enjoy the best functionality between the two.
