Experience
Carla has been helping folks get their "ACT!" together for over 11 years. As an ACT! Certified Consultant she has partnered with many organizations helping them utilize ACT! to its fullest. She has built several custom application further extending the functionality of ACT!. Her ACT! experience began with ACTWIN2, the first Windows based version of the software. Carla has trained thousands of ACT! users - in classrooms and at their workplace - teaching them how to navigate through the program quickly and efficiently. Prior to becoming an ACT! consultant Carla worked in marketing where she built a variety of databases to serve special purposes. She also enjoys working with add-on products, Visual Basic, and Crystal Reports.
Carla grew up on a farm outside Fairbanks, Alaska and graduated from the University of Alaska in 1989. Upon graduation she worked in the tourism industry in Alaska for many years. Positions held include: Tourism Marketing Manager for the Fairbanks Convention and Visitors Bureau, Gray Line of Alaska, the Alaska Railroad, and Empire Airlines. As a result of working with tourists, Carla developed a love for travel. Recently she took a year off to travel spending seven months in Europe, South America, and Central America. In Europe she visited many Eastern European countries and helped build houses in Romania with Habitat for Humanity. A month long visit to Chile allowed her to travel the length of the country climbing volcanoes, rafting wild rivers, and star gazing from one of the many observatories. In Honduras she spent a month in intensive Spanish language school - working to improve her Spanish speaking abilities. Most recently the travel bug took her to Guatemala where she participated in another Habitat for Humanity build.
Education
Graduated with a Bachelor's of Business Administration from the University of Alaska - Fairbanks where she majored in Travel Industry Management. Certified Microsoft Professional in Microsoft Access.
